The last new releases for 2021 are coming soon. Sharing my December 2021 Most Anticipated list a bit early this month to help you stock up for the holiday season and to take advantage of some of those holiday book sales!
December is a pretty light month for new releases, especially this year. Most of the new releases coming in December are falling either in the first week or the last week of the month. There may not be many upcoming new releases high up on my ‘Most Anticipated List’ but there are a handful that I am very excited for!
As I always do in my ‘Most Anticipated’ write ups, I’m sharing a few that I’m most excited for first. I then separate out new releases by their release date. I don’t go into too much detail on each of the books being released, because we’d be here forever, but you can always click on the image of the book to get more info.
So let’s talk about the books I’m absolutely looking forward to the most / already loved that are releasing soon!
Twenty Years Later: I’m a huge Charlie Donlea fan. While this one is a standalone , his page turning thrillers always make me stay up way to late and just reading the synopsis make me excited to get a copy of his upcoming releases. My current favorite series of his is the Rory Moore / Lane Phillips series. Check out my reviews for the two of those books below:
Some Choose Darkness | The Suicide House
The Witching Tree: The third installment of the Natalie Lockhart series. Set in the isolated small towns of upstate New York, the Natalie Lockhart novels from mystery author Alice Blanchard features an engaging rookie detective determined to uncover the community’s deeply held secrets, no matter what the cost. Filled with Wiccan symbols, an countless red herrings, these books are great for fans of women led crime series. See my review for the first two books in the series below:
Trace of Evil | The Wicked Hour
The Replacement Wife: Darby Kane’s Debut Pretty Little Wife was well received last year when it came out, and was a featured pick from Book of the Month. I’m excited to see what twists her newest releases contains.
Beasts of a Little Land: Already receiving lots of praise for being an epic story of love and war. Set during the Korean Independence movement. I have a copy of this debut historical fiction and hoping to start it this week.
The Ballerinas: For lovers of Black Swan, this thriller follows a group of ballerinas. This is another debut, which I also have a copy of already. A few reviewers I follow are saying it’s a great character driven novel, so I can’t wait to read it.
These are just my top picks for December but if you keep scrolling there are so many other amazing books coming out soon. With the shipping delays expected this holiday season, be sure to get your pre-orders in for any and all books you might be itching to get your hands on.
