November 2022 Most Anticipated

Here we are, once again, almost halfway through another month. Even though there are 5 Tuesdays in November, I always find November to have the least new releases out of all the months. I normally use November to get ‘caught up’ on my TBR but this year I was pleasantly surprised by how many new books are coming out. Guess that TBR isn’t getting any shorter this month.

As I always do in my ‘Most Anticipated’ write ups, I’m sharing a few that I’m most excited for first. I then separate out new releases by their release date. I don’t go into too much detail on each of the books being released, because we’d be here forever, but you can always click on the image of the book to get more info.

So let’s talk about the books I’m absolutely looking forward to the most / already loved that are releasing soon!

I will basically read anything that Kevin Wilson puts out, so when I saw Now is not the Time to Panic was coming out, I knew I needed a copy. I started this one last night, and I am hooked. I’ll have a review up later this week but highly recommend putting this on your TBR. If you have yet to read a Kevin Wilson book, his stories are generally quirky page turners. Nothing to See Here has been my favorite but I think it may be in 2nd place soon.

The Cloisters is being compared to Ninth House but besides having the same dark academia atmosphere, these two really don’t compare. If you like well written atmospheric reads, you’ll enjoy this one. If you’re a plot-based reader like I am, you might want to skip it.

Flight Risk is the second in a psychic travel agent murder mystery series. The first book in the series, Grave Reservations had me laughing out loud. While this one isn’t quite as good, I’m still highly enjoying this series. If you like Finlay Donovan or books by Darynde Jones, you’ll enjoy these.

Wayward is Chuck Wending’s sequel to The Wanderers. I loved The Wanderers when I read it 2 years ago, and then I really enjoyed Wending’s 2021 release The Book of Accidents last year. I’m so excited that I received an ARC of this one and hoping to get to it in the next week or so.

Another author I’ll read anything from is John Boyne. His newest release is the sequel to The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and I’ll be sure to have tissues on hand when I start this ARC I received.

Small Game, A Quiet Life, None of This Would Have Happened if Prince was Alive, and Blackwater Falls are all also at the top of my ARC TBR. I love a good detective series and Blackwater Falls is set to be the first in the Detective Inaya Rahman series. A Quite Life is from the author of A Little Hope and I’m hoping for another stellar read. Both Small Game and None of This Would Have Happened If Prince Was Alive are debuts set to come in November. Ya’ll know I love trying new authors, so I’m excited to dive into these two.

In the coming weeks I will have lots of reviews for more of these releases, so be sure to subscribe to get weekly updates from SPEAKING OF…,
