I’m very into grumpy/quirky older characters living their best lives lately, and man did How to Age Disgracefully fit right into that. Lydia is finally back at work with a parttime job running the Senior Citizens Social Club at the local community center. That is until the center is at risk of being shut down….

May 2024 Book of the Month
May picks are in! I’m not surprised by most of these, but I am excited for this month. We did get 10 new books this month, with few repeat authors and four debut authors. Of this month’s picks I have read three so far, and have reviews up for them as well. Keep reading to…
April 2024 Book of the Month
April books are here! Personally, I think it’s such a good line up and have been lucky enough to received copies of all but 3 of this month’s picks. Surprisingly, I’ve actually finished 2, am almost finished with 2 more so have linked my reviews to the one’s I’ve finished below! All in all, April…
April 2024 | Aardvark Predictions
Even though Aardvark is great about giving us hints each month so we know what the picks will be before they ‘go live’, I thought it would be fun to start putting together my own predictions based on my reading and experience with Aardvark. This will be my third month doing predictions for Aardvark and…
Book of the Month Add-Ons Guide | March 2024 Edition
We all know that Book of the Month is a monthly subscription service where you are supposed to pick one book a month. We also know this does not usually happen, because they generally have some awesome add-ons! I’ve seen a lot of folks asking for guidance when picking add-on both via Facebook and Instagram,…
January 2024 Reading Wrap Up
It’s been a while…or a year or two since I last posted a monthly recap of my reading. It’s a new year, and I’m committed to doing better about sharing my monthly reviews with you. If you’re new to Speaking Of…, I use to post a monthly wrap up of everything I read during the…
January 2024 Book of the Month
The first books of 2024 are here and it’s a great drop this month. With five new main picks this month and five more new/recent add-ons, I honestly think there is something for everyone this month. Though it’s light on the romances this month, we have lots of great thriller/mystery and contemporary/literary fiction picks. And while…
November 2023 Book of the Month
Two months left in the year and Book of the Month is putting out a ton of books for November. November is the unofficially non-fiction month of the year. Maybe Non-fiction November is official, I’m not sure, but it is the month I tend to focus on reading more than just 1 non-fiction book, so…
July 2023 Book of the Month
Every single book this month is from a previous Book of the Month (BOTM) author. I am shocked to see so many repeat, 3peat, 4peat authors. While Adrienne Brodeur’s book Little Monsters is her first fiction book with BOTM, her Wild Game was an previous BOTM pick. While I don’t dislike this month’s picks, I’m…
July 2023 BOTM Predictions
There are so many interesting books coming out in July and quite a few repeat BOTM authors that have books coming out and that have just come out. We already know at least two previous BOTM authors books are available as add-ons, but I know we’re all anxious to see which main picks will be…
