October 2026 Most Anticipated

October is here, which means it’s officially time for spooky reads, atmospheric stories, cozy nights, and a very ambitious TBR. And this month? The new releases are stacked.

As I do each month, I’ve narrowed down the releases I’m most excited to read and this time I have 16 making the list. A few are thrillers and mysteries (obviously), with plenty of romance, fantasy, witchy vibes, and a couple of books that are just completely outside my usual categories.

But there are two books at the very top of this list that I am especially, ridiculously excited for: A Court of Thorns and Roses 6 and Peck & Peck.  I’m sure it’s not a surprise to anyone! Those are my absolute most anticipated October releases, and unfortunately, the two books on this list I don’t have copies of yet. *sigh*

I do have copies of the other 14, though, so there will be lots of reviews coming your way as I make my way through them. I’ve already listened to Look What the Cat Dragged In and read The House Built on Alligator Bones, so those reviews are coming soon!

Basically, October is looking like another month where my TBR has absolutely no respect for my available reading time.

In the coming weeks I will have lots of reviews for more of these October releases, so be sure to subscribe to get weekly updates from SPEAKING OF…, and make sure to follow us on Instagram @speakingof.books. And if you need something to read now, make sure to check out my some of my other Most Anticipated Lists below:
