I know, I know. Halloween hasn’t even happened but I’m already ready for chillier weather and for ALL THE HOLIDAY READS! I am definitely a person who thinks that my turkey tastes the same with the Christmas tree up, but my husband won’t let us put decorations up til after Thanksgiving, So, I’m occupying my time (when not at a pumpkin patch) by not just starting to read some new holiday reads but also by narrowing down my Most Anticipated new releases coming out in the next few months.

Since we’re almost in the last two months of 2025, I’m taking a look ahead at what 2026 has to offer! I can’t tell you how many great books are coming out and I have an iPad stocked with upcoming winter releases I’m ready to curl up on the couch with!

If you take a look at this list, you can probably tell what genre I’ve been in the mood for lately. I’ve been craving all the mystery/thriller lately, and this list really reflects that. Also why are there so many Seniors Murdering stories lately? I’m not complaining, just an observation. Unlike previous editions of My Most Anticipated, this one isn’t broken down by genre, since so many fall into the same genres. They are also not listed in any particular order. Within the list, you’ll find quite a few new installments for a few of my favorite series and some of my favorite authors listed. Looking at you Kate Quinn and Paula McClain .

I have copies of the majority of these, and will be linking my reviews as I read them. I will also be sharing my December Most Anticipated, January Most Anticipated and a February Most Anticipated Lists which will have all of the books I’m looking forward to in the coming months. I’m slowly making my way through my Most Anticipated and have read 2 so far. Wildwood is the second installment in the Northwoods series and is a solid police procedural that touches on addition.

Will Dean’s upcoming release Adrift was excellent. It felt completed different than his previous books, and it’s his best IMO.
