April 2025 BOTM Predictions

Well…April is shaping up to be a fabulous release month. I had a heck of a time narrowing my Contemporary and Literary predictions down, which is new for me. There are quite a few BOTM authors with books coming out in April, so while I don’t think we’ll see all repeat authors, it’s likely a few will end up as picks and add-ons.

I haven’t read many of my predictions this month so far, but I am hoping to make it through at least two of these before March ends.

Whether or not my predictions are actually picks, only time will tell. Even if they are not, all or most of these are on my April Most Anticipated New Releases list and my Spring 2025 Most Anticipated List.

When the picks are announced and you find you have space in your box still, make sure to also check out my most recent version of BOTM Add-On recommendations HERE, because who couldn’t use even more books!

Keep in mind that these are simply predictions and books I hope get chosen. I could get these completely wrong, but the anticipation and guessing are part of the fun right?!

Mystery and Thriller

I’m not a huge fan of Nita Prose, but since it’s been featured before, I could see the newest in the Molly the Maid series being a pick. Otherwise, Jess Kidd is a repeat author and Aminty Gaige is a debut author. Both I have reviews for, and thought were interesting.

Romance

I can’t remember if her last book was a pick but Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez are always good bets when it comes to BOTM. Though I’d rather see them as add-ons than main picks.

Historical Fiction

I used to love Historical Fiction, but I’m feeling a big burnt out from the genre right now, so it was hard for me to pick options for April. Both These Days and The Lilac People, sound interesting and I wouldn’t mind seeing them picked up by BOTM.

Contemporary and Literary Fiction

I can’t remember ever having so many fiction books to choose from but all of these sound amazing, are high up on my TBR, and I would love to see as BOTM picks.

Science Fiction and Fantasy

Surpringly, I only have one Fantasy pick for this month that I’d like to see, though a few other books could potentially bend into the science fiction/fantasy realm. As she would be a 3peat author, I could see Penner’s newest being a pick in April.
