February 2021 | BOTM Hopefuls

Any day now the February Book of the Month books will drop and I am ready! Not that I need more TBR needs to be bigger, but that’s my cross to bare.

This month, since spoilers seem like a thing of the past, I’m posting my predictions for what BOTM may pick for February. Keep in mind that these are simply predictions and books I hope get chosen. I could get these completely wrong but the anticipated and guessing is part of the fun right?!

Every month, Book of the month tries to offer up a diverse selection of books for subscribers. There is usually always one thriller/mystery pick, one romance/women’s literature pick, most months have a non-fiction or historical fiction choice, one contemporary/literary fiction pick, and one random pick, with YA or a second in any of these categories. Earl releases are also quite common so I’ve taken a look at my March Most Anticipated List as well to draw up these predictions. We’ve also started to see quite a few extra featured add-on’s as well that tend to include books from series and well known authors.

Personally I prefer newer or lesser known authors to be apart of the main five picks but really enjoy having the options of adding new books from well known authors to my box as well. Also my series always have to match, so I’m loving that they’re offering complete series lately.

Whether or not these are actually picks, only time will tell. Even if they are not all or most of these are on my February Most Anticipated New Releases list, which you can see HERE! When the picks are announced and you find you have space in your box still, make sure to check out my most recent version of BOTM Add-On recommendations HERE!

Mystery & Thriller Possibilities

I feel that The Burning is more of me just projecting something I really want to read onto BOTM. The newest book from C.J. Tudor is getting rave reviews. Said to be a shocking and thrilling read with a touch of supernatural.

Historical Fiction Predictions

I adore Kristin Hannah’s writing. A few of her previous books have been BOTM picks, so I’m hoping to continue this trend with The Four Winds.

YA Possibilities

The first book in the Ink in the Blood duology was a BOTM pick when they had their YA boxes. This genre bending story about tattoo magic, hits shelves in February, and I would not be surprised to see it pop up again. I have a full review Curse of the Divine HERE!

Book of the Month Choices that release in February

In addition to the above books, there are three books that were Book of the Month picks in previous months. Each of these books are hitting shelves everyone during the month of February.

The Survivors while an excellent read is a slow burn mystery. Filled with grief and the repercussions of loss, Jane Harper’s newest book was a five star read for me. See my full review HERE!

I hope you found a book that you are truly excited about in this post.
