21 Most Anticipated Books for 2021

Raise your hand if you are excited for the dumpster fires of a year, 2020, is almost over? ME! My husband and I were married right before the Pandemic shut everything down, and boy was I thankful for that. However, it really put a damper on the rest of our 2020 plans include our honeymoon. Our honey was cancelled again for March of 2021, since we were planning to spend some time in Europe. I’m majorly bummed but thinking about all the fabulous new releases coming in 2021 and knowing I’m going to have more time to continue reading, is definitely a silver lining.

A few of my other favorite also have new books coming out.

  1. Kristen Hannah, author of The Great Alone, has The Four Winds hitting shelves in February. A depression era historical fiction, I actually have a copy already and am ecstatic to read this. Especially since the setting is Texas!
  2. Tayler Jenkins Reid, author of Daisy Jones and the Six & The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. While I did really care for Daisy Jones, Evelyn Hugo is one of my all time favorite books. Her newest book Malibu Rising, follows four siblings as they host an epic party in 1983. I was lucky to get an advanced copy of this as well and it’s another one I can’t wait to read.
  3. Paula McClain, author of Circling the Sun & The Paris Wife, her newest book When Stars Go Dark follows a detective as she unravels the mystery around her.
  4. C.J. Tudor, upcoming release The Burning Girls is set to be just as thriller as her previous releases The Chalkman & The Hiding Place.

If you follow me, either here or on instagram (@speakingof_books), than you’ll know that I post my most anticipated books for the upcoming months. I’ve taken a look at all my month lists for 2021 so far and I have picked out my top 21 new releases coming in 2021! These are by far my most anticipated for 2021 and if I don’t read anything other than these 21 books than I’ll be happy. But let’s be real, that won’t happen because I generally read at least 10 books a month, but I digress.

As always, click on the Amazon link to get more information about the book. Also a reminder that my favorite genres are thriller, mystery, fantasy, and historical fiction so you’ll see most of my recommendations and most anticipated fall within those realms.
