It’s here, the first picks of 2021 for Book of the Month are here! I’m very into this month’s picks and had a super hard time picking what I wanted in a box. Some of my most anticipated new releases for January were among this months picks, so you know I filled both of my boxes!

Not even originally on my radar, but this contemporary fiction sounds amazing. This year I have started to read more Native American books. This one focus’ on a Cherokee family griefs and Cherokee folklore.

Wow, are these not great picks for this month or what? Out of the 5 main picks, I got four of them! The only reason I didn’t get the fifth one was that I already had an ARC. I also picked two of the new add-ons, which brings my box total up to 6 books!

WHAT IS BOOK OF THE MONTH?

For those who haven’t heard of Book of the Month club or BOTM, it is a subscription program, similar to audible or other box subscription services, where you get (you guessed it) a new book every month. Each month members are given 5 different books to choose from.  BOTM generally focusing on debut and emerging writers, and is known for having helped launch the careers of some of the most acclaimed authors in American literary history.
