Aardvark March 2026

March’s 2026 Aardvark Book Club picks are here, and I’ve already dipped into half of them.

Out of the six selections this month, I’ve read three and my feelings are… mixed. One really wasn’t great for me, one was solidly okay, and one I actually think I might have enjoyed more if I’d read it physically instead of listening to the audiobook. It’s always interesting how format can completely shape the reading experience.

If you’re trying to decide what to add to your box this month, here are my quick thoughts on the three I’ve already finished and which of the remaining picks I’m most excited (or nervous) about.

My Box

I skipped this month. Four of this month’s picks (Operation Bounce House, Nowhere Burning, The Red Winter, and Whidbey) were all on my Most Anticipated Lists and I have copies of. I’ve finished all but Operation Bounce House and I’m really ‘meh’ on all of them. Nowhere Burning lacked something to really make it an amazing read, Whidbey could have been formatted differently, and The Red Winter I wanted to love but listening to it on audio was not the right choice. I’m also not super interested in either Star Shipped or Spoiled Milk, nor have a seen many reviews for either. With such a large backlist I’m going to skip this month. But take a look at the reviews of what I’ve read already and see if any interest you.
