Cloud Nine kicks off Amanda Sinatra’s Snowy Peak series with full-on winter sports romance energy. Set against the icy slopes of Vermont, this enemies-to-lovers story is perfect for anyone craving snow, rivalry, and that slow-burn romantic tension that makes you swoon.
The story follows Hannah St. Pierre, a photographer who’s sworn off men after her last relationship collapsed under the weight of her new PCOS diagnosis. Focused on her health and career, she heads to Vermont to help her best friend Maya save her family’s ski resort. Enter Noah Hart: arrogant, hot-as-sin, two-time Olympian. He’s Hannah’s reluctant collaborator, and from their first interactions, the sparks (and banter) fly.
Told in dual POV, we get to see both Hannah and Noah’s perspectives, which adds depth to their slow-building connection. The tension is delicious: the forced proximity, the competitive edge, and the undeniable attraction create a perfect enemies-to-lovers dynamic. I loved the PCOS representation, which felt thoughtful and authentic, and Hannah and Maya’s friendship added warmth and humor to the story.
The characters grow in realistic, satisfying ways, and the romance itself hits the sweet spot; both emotionally and physically, with a spice level I’d rate 3 out of 5. While I did notice a few repetitive moments and think the manuscript could have benefitted from one more round of tightening, these were minor quibbles in an otherwise fast, immersive read.
From snowy slopes to rivalries, deals, and stolen moments in the snow, Cloud Nine delivers the perfect mix of romance, heat, and heart. If you’re an Olympics fan, a slow-burn romance lover, or just looking for a cozy winter escape with some playful enemies-to-lovers tension, this one’s for you. I flew through it and am already excited for the rest of the Snowy Peak series!
