Another fun book from Deanna Raybourn. The gang is back in this Golden Girls meets Charlie’s Angels novel. Billie, Helen, Mary Alice, and Natalie may be retired but that doesn’t mean they can’t handle their own still. When they’re recalled to take on an off the books job for organization known as The Museum, they’re ready to tackle a challenge that spans all the back to some of their first missions. Someone on the inside is leaking data, and the four senior women are determined to uncover the culprit. The mission will take them back into the past but with their experience, they’re most certainly up for the job.
I adored the first book, and I’m thrilled it’s becoming a series. I love a good bunch of senior ladies not acting their age. I mean age is really just a number, right? We dive a lot more into Billie’s past this go around and while I enjoyed getting to learn more about her, I thought it slowed the story down a bit. Killers of a Certain Age was a page- turner, and I had a hard time putting it down, Kills Well With Others while entertaining, wasn’t as compulsive of a read. It’s still filled with plenty of humor, action, and snark – Kills Well with Others is a fast & fun read.
