While summer doesn’t officially start until June 21st, summer break is upon us as we enter June. Not that that matters when you’re an adult, but it does mean beach trips, lake trips, pool days, and sunny days are about to fill everyone’s time. I’ll be the first to admit to being an extreme mood reader, and all the sunny weather and lounging by bodies of water make me crave romance reads, fast mysteries, and a book that can make me laugh. June is heavy on new releases earlier on in the month, which is great for planning out what you want to read this summer. And there are quite a few books coming out in June that fall perfectly into my ‘summer’ reading mood.
I have a number of Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) of the below books and have a few reviews already up and a handful coming this week. Some of my favorite authors have new releases coming out including Ali Hazelwood and Katherine Center. I’ve also read some debut and new to me authors so far and I’m excited for everyone to get to experience these June releases. Here are my top 14 Most Anticipated for June!
Both Kimi Cunningham Grant and Kirsten Miller’s debuts made my Top 10 lists, and I’m excited to dive into their books. I also loved Chris Whitaker’s We Begin at the End so I’m interested to see what his new book entails. Past those, I’m currently reading Birding with Benefits, Honey, and The Unwedding. The jury is still out on those so be sure to come back for my full reviews. Otherwise, I’ve made some good progress on my June ARCs and have a few reviews below.
Ali Hazelwood once again delivers with her upcoming release Not in Love. As always, I love a good woman in STEM story, and found this one to be a quick read.
Not in Love Review
Debut Middletide was an excellent slow burn mystery and thriller. Highly recommend.
Middletide Review
How to Age Disgracefully ended up being a fun and refreshing contemporary fiction with plenty of humor. But again I always love some seniors behaving badly.

Katherine Center is an autobuy author for me and her newest The Rom-Commers while not my favorite was still an enjoyable read!
The Rom-Commers Review
If you’re in need a twisty horror story – We Use to Live Here is right up your alley. I think I liked it, but I’m really now sure.
