May 2022 | Most Anticipated

Alright May, I see you, with all your new releases especially from some big name authors. There are so many new releases coming that I can’t wait to get my hands on, and some I’ve already been able to read! 5 of my most anticipated releases I’ve already been able to read and have reviews available for you to check out. Two of these are contenders for my 2022 favorites list and I won’t be able to stop recommend them.

The Lioness by Chris Bohjalian is a utterly fantastic read. A blend of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Circling the Sun by Paula McLain, this was an unexpectedly gripping read. It’s both a mystery/thriller and a historical fiction with all the Old Hollywood vibes. I loved it.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry is a totally different read but is another wonderful read that left me with all the warm fuzzies. This is my favorite book of hers so far.

Midnight Dunes is the third book in the Texas Murder Files. As a lover of solid mysteries these are great, especially since they’re set in Texas, and I love my Texas books. These have a bit of romance, and each book in the series follows a different character. They’re entertaining and while the first one was my favorite, this is still enjoyable.

Both The Summer Place and My Summer Darlings are hitting shelves in May and have a ton of hype around them. Neither was my favorite from the authors but they are both quick reads.

I have roughly 12 additional books to read that are May releases. I’m currently reading The Hacienda, The Favor, Breathless, and Elektra. I’ve been jumping around quite a bit lately, but should have reviews for these coming soon. Be sure to check back soon.
