March 2021 | BOTM Hopefuls

Any day now the March Book of the Month books will drop and I am ready! Not that I need more TBR needs to be bigger, but that’s my cross to bare. This month there are so many new releases, that it was incredibly difficult to pick out my hopefuls for BOTM.

Every month, Book of the month tries to offer up a diverse selection of books for subscribers. There is usually always one thriller/mystery pick, one romance/women’s literature pick, most months have a non-fiction or historical fiction choice, one contemporary/literary fiction pick, and one random pick, with YA or a second in any of these categories. Earl releases are also quite common so I’ve taken a look at my March Most Anticipated List as well to draw up these predictions. We’ve also started to see quite a few extra featured add-on’s as well that tend to include books from series and well known authors.

Personally I prefer newer or lesser known authors to be apart of the main five picks but really enjoy having the options of adding new books from well known authors to my box as well. Also my series always have to match, so I’m loving that they’re offering complete series lately.

Whether or not these are actually picks, only time will tell. Even if they are not all or most of these are on my March Most Anticipated New Releases list, which you can see HERE! When the picks are announced and you find you have space in your box still, make sure to also check out my most recent version of BOTM Add-On recommendations HERE!

Keep in mind that these are simply predictions and books I hope get chosen. I could get these completely wrong but the anticipated and guessing is part of the fun right?!

Non-Fiction

True crime is always a good guess for a BOTM non-fiction pick. But, since March is women’s month, I think it’s quite possible that something such as Come Fly the World might be a pick because it’s the story of the women who worked for PAN AM.

Contemporary & Literary Fiction

There are quite a few books coming out in March that I think would fit perfectly within BOTM’s realm of reads. I narrowed it down to four but honestly I think this category this month is a toss up.

Historical Fiction

Once again, I think our Historical Fiction pick will be a women focused story but in case it’s not I think a repeat author Viet Thanh Nguyen might be a good guess.

Romance

With the other two Brown Sister books being past picks, I think it’s highly likely that Act Your Age, Eve Brown will be a pick this month.

Already Available

In addition to the above books, there is one book that was already a Book of the Month pick in previous months. One of February’s picks was an early release romance. Coming out March 16, The Dating Plan, is a fun romance.

I hope you found a book that you are truly excited about in this post. Love these predictions and your reason why. I agree I can’t wait for them to drop even though I don’t need anymore books! I have to say I am so intrigued about The Babysitter, I hope it is a nonfiction pick. I always need more nonfiction in my reading pile! Thanks for posting!

I’m actually going to read that this week since I got an ARC of it. It’s a true crime so I’m excited to see how it’s written
