10 Unputdownable YA Books

I’m a week late to participate in Goodreads, YA Week, but better late than never right!? I love YA books. I use to exclusively read YA books for as long as I can remember. I’ve gotten away from reading them recently because the teenage angst is too much for me to handle sometimes. But I love that YA covers all genres and is really an umbrella genre. YA or young-adult fiction is fiction published and written for ages 13-18 as the target audience. They often focus on challenges teens face and often involve a ‘coming of age’ plot line but they are all works of fiction.

I’ve been getting more into YA books again and my partnership with Penguin Teen, has really helped to reignite my love for YA books. I will say that I tend to lean more towards Historical Fiction and Fantasy YA books than any other genre so most of my recommendations fall within those categories.

I really enjoyed reading the 57 Bus by Slater although it was horrifying how people can treat others. It’s an easy read and well written.
