New Release Tuesday | July 28

Welcome back to this week’s edition of New Release Tuesday. We’re closing out July with a small but mighty week of new releases, that I am personally stoked about. Of the seven books coming out today that I have taken note of: 1 has a full review up on the blog already, 2 I am currently listening to via audio, 2 have been sitting on my shelf waiting to be read for the past few weeks, and 2 are on my wishlist!

Read

The Suicide House is the second book in the Rory/Lane series by Charlie Donlea. I have never read anything by Donlea and since this was the second in the series, even though they’re standalones, I decided to start with Some Choose Darkness. Basically if you love twisty, solid, murder mysteries, you will love these books. Bonus is that Donlea apparently does cross overs in his series regularly but also writes his books so you can read them in any order! In Progress

I’m currently listening to His & Hers last week. Huge thank you to Macmillian Audio who sent me a copy. I have not made it very far into this story though, simply because I’m not a huge fan of the male narrator. I’m really enjoying the book though, so I’ll keep listening, but I would have preferred to simply read this one. his

I love Karin Slaughter, she is one of my favorite authors. Pretty Girls is one of my favorite mystery/thriller books of all time. Her newest book, The Silent Wife, is the 10th book in the Will Trent series. Slaughter regularly publishes new books in the Will Trent series and it’s a very likable FBI mystery series. I’m only halfway through the story so far, but once again I remember why I love Slaughter’s writing. Huge thank you to William Morrow for my audio copy.

TBR

I have been dying to read Crossings and thanks to St. Martin’s Press, I was able to get my hands on an advanced copy. However, I’ve been on a murder mystery kick lately, and have just not sat down to read this one yet. Keep a look out for my review in the coming weeks!
