Speaking of...Birthday! ⠀ .⠀ Fun fact. My dad, my fiancé, and I all have a birthday within a 5 day span of time. So this week has been birthday central. I need to detox after all the food & wine I’ve had all week. But I just wanted to rant real quick about how I have the greatest friends & family. My sister gifted me the 3 Harry Potter illustrated editions for my birthday on Wednesday. And one of my besties came over for a dinner party last night & brought the best cake ever to celebrate my fiancé & my birthday! The only thing that could’ve made this week better is if Hagrid showed up with my acceptance letter but I’m 28 not 11. Whomp whomp. ⠀ .⠀ For my 10th birthday I was getting first editions of the Harry Potter books and reading under the covers. I never would’ve thought I’d be just as excited to receive different versions of the same books almost 2 decades later. & if anyone is wondering these illustrated copies are GORGEOUS! ⠀ .⠀ We pretty much have zero plans today. So I’m hoping to make it through the first half of The Gifted School before #notyomamasbookclub discussion on Sunday! Speaking of...Friday! ⠀ .⠀ Happy Friday y’all! I hope everyone had a great week, I know I had a very eventful week. My weekend is going to consist of snuggling with Lady Sadie & catching up on some reading & reviews. ⠀ .⠀ Let’s talk about favorite authors though. Karen Slaughter is by far one of my favorite authors & is an auto-buy for me. Her Will Trent series is always packed with action & a good mystery. Her characters are so well developed and I love diving into another Will Trent story. Her most recent release The Last Widow, was no exception. This book is packed with multiple POVs, twists, and even has some cult action. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. And if you’re interested in reading any of her stand alone books please read Pretty Girls & then come talk to me about it.
