Ten children vanish in broad daylight when their school bus is hijacked and their nightmare is only beginning. New driver Jessa is already haunted by the loss of her own daughter three years earlier, and now she’s trapped underground in a buried shipping container with the children she was meant to protect. The kidnappers claim everyone will be released once the ransom is paid, but as air runs thin and panic rises, Jessa and young Sage realize survival may depend on outsmarting their captors before time runs out.
I listened to this one on audio and absolutely loved it. From the very first chapter, I was hooked, so much so that I found myself extending my runs just to keep listening. As a mother, I couldn’t help but feel the gut-wrenching fear and grief of the parents, which made the story even more intense. I loved the POVs we got and how they carried us through a journey of fear, loss, and resilience. The ending was both heartbreaking and nail-biting, and oh my gosh, Sage. Her strength and bravery were unforgettable.
This was such a powerful story about survival, trauma, and the human spirit. If you’re looking for a thriller that keeps you on edge while also tugging at your heart, Such Quiet Girls delivers and bonus that the audio narration was excellent!
Bonus it’s also available on KindleUnlimited
