Nora Goes Off Script

Nora Hamilton knows how to write a perfect love story; it’s literally her job. But when her own real-life marriage crumbles, she turns heartbreak into screenplay gold, and the next thing she knows, Hollywood is filming the movie version in her actual house. Enter Leo Vance: former Sexiest Man Alive, playing the role of Nora’s ex, and definitely not leaving when the cameras stop rolling.

When Leo shows up on her porch with a bottle of tequila and a $1,000-a-day offer to crash at her place for a week, Nora says yes. Because sure, she could use the cash — but also, something in his eyes says he’s not just another movie star. Over seven days, sparks fly, secrets surface, and Nora’s carefully written life might just get the best rewrite yet.

I adored this one. It was such a fresh romance. Not too fluffy, not too heavy, just the perfect balance of charm, heart, and depth. I was totally rooting for Nora from page one. She’s smart, grounded, and refreshingly real. The romance had just enough tension to keep things interesting and enough emotional weight to make me feel every moment.

This book left me smiling like an idiot and honestly? It gave my heart a little lift. Highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for something light-hearted with substance. Bonus points for a swoony movie star and a heroine who actually feels like someone you’d want to be best friends with.

Quick, warm, emotional and just the kind of story that makes you believe in love again (the messy, complicated, worth-it kind).
