I’ve read the entire Aunties series by Jesse Q. Sutanto, and I can confidently say that the first book, Dial A for Aunties, is by far my favorite. This story is a perfect blend of chaos, comedy, and charm that kept me laughing from start to finish. Meddy Chan is just trying to be a good daughter and help her mom and meddling aunties run their wedding business, but when she accidentally kills her blind date, her well-meaning but over-the-top family insists on helping her hide the bodyāat a massive wedding theyāre catering. What could go wrong? Oh, just about everything.
The aunties are absolutely hilarious, each bringing their own brand of chaos, and poor Meddy is stuck trying to balance their well-intentioned but disastrous schemes while also running into her ex-boyfriend at the worst possible moment. But hey, at least she gets the guy (spoiler alert). If you need something fun, fast-paced, and ridiculous in all the best ways, Dial A for Aunties is an absolute must-read. The perfect escape from reality when you just want to laugh.
