I fully admit that Booktok & Booksta made me read this one…and I’m not made about it at all! Other than ruining orzo and ice cream for me, Butcher & Blackbird is everything I want out of a dark romance.

Flipping between two serial killers, we follow Sloan and Rowan as they compete to claim, aka kill, the worst humans in their yearly competition. But as they start to find their path’s crossing more and more, they can’t deny the attract they feel between each other. Are they a match made in hell? Or are they destined to destroy each other.

If you enjoy witty banter, dark romances, open-door romance, a bit of horror, and a fast-paced story; just pick this book up. It’s brilliant, unique, highly entertaining, and the chemistry between Sloan and Rowan leaps off the pages. Just make sure you have time to binge it, as it’s unputdownable. Bonus points – the audiobook is fantastic. I listened to it in one sitting while driving from San Antonio to Dallas and was devasted to have to wait for the sequel to come out!
