Everything seems to be going wrong with Mr. and Mrs. Wright. Attempting to save their marriage they’re headed to Scotland for a weekend away. When a snow store leaves them cutoff from the rest of the world, the lies they’ve been telling each other are about to come uncovered.
I spent the first few chapters thinking I had already read this book, but I guess Prosopagnosia or Face Blindness is becoming a more common thriller trope than before. I believe this is my 3rd book in as many years where it’s being used. While it works in this instance – I’m jaded when it comes to using this to add suspense to thrillers. But I digress.
This was another Alice Feeney book I listened to, and while I’m loving feeney’s books on audio – I think this one might be better read. The beginning gets off to a slow start, which made investing into the audiobook harder than usual. After the first few chapters though – the story takes off and there is plenty of lies, red herrings, and secrets to keep you guessing throughout the story. This has probably been my least favorite Alice Feeney book, and one I guessed the ending for early on. Still a thriller I’d recommend reading and can’t wait to read my next Feeney book!
