Home is Where the Bodies Are

After their mother passes away, Beth is forced to reunite with her estranged siblings as they settle her estate. Beth, who stayed to care for their mother, wants nothing to do with her two siblings. The middle child, Nicole’s struggle with addiction ended the sister’s relationship more than a year ago; and the youngest sibling Michael has made it a point to leave home and stay gone. Being back together isn’t what any of them want, but when a home video shows their father covered in blood, the three are left wondering what secrets they’ve just uncovered.

With the perfect mix of family drama and mystery, this was such a fast paged thriller! Add in a full cast narration for the audiobook and I was sold. For me the different narrators made a huge difference in the story and really solidify the characters and their personalities in my mind. I loved the way Rose wove the narration of the three siblings together along with the journal entries from their mother. It made the whole story feel seamless and gave me a connection to the characters I otherwise might not have had. This is a great page turner that any thriller fan will love!
