April books are here! Personally, I think it’s such a good line up and have been lucky enough to received copies of all but 3 of this month’s picks. Surprisingly, I’ve actually finished 2, am almost finished with 2 more so have linked my reviews to the one’s I’ve finished below! All in all, April is lining up to be a great reading month!
Reminder that if none of these are speaking to you this month be sure to check out some of my Most Anticipated New Releases lists. If you’re looking for add-ons to put into your boxes be sure to check out my BOTM add-on recommendations, which I update every couple of months.

My Picks
Of this month’s picks I have copies of almost every book already. I’ve read two of them so far and am in the middle of two others currently. I loved both Just for the Summer and Darling Girls. Both authors are auto buys for me, so that’s not really a surprise. Though I did enjoy Darling Girls more than some of Hepworth’s other recent releases.
Darling Girls Review
Just for the Summer Review
I’m currently reading The Husbands and How to End a Love Story, so TBD on my thoughts on those two.
Dragonfruit was surprisingly not on my radar, but after reading The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi (which is very un-hyped in my opinion), I’ve been on the lookout for another Pirate adventures, so in went Dragonfruit to my box. I also enjoy Megan Miranda’s books and have been wanting to read Daughter of Mine. Since I’ve been on a big thriller kick lately, I figured it’d make a person flight read when I head to Miami later this month!
I debated on adding The Familiar to my box, only because I thought I might get a prettier copy from another place, but since I had some extra credits, I decided to add it in. This is one of my most anticipated new releases and I love Bardugo’s books, so I’m very excited about this one.
I decided to skip on the only other books I don’t have a copy of, which is Table for Two. I know people love Amor Towles and as much as I admire his work, I have to be in the right frame of mind (aka not constantly exhausted) to read his work. I’ll pick it up from the library at some point I’m sure but I skipped for the time being.
That’s what’s in my box this month! Did we pick any of the same books this month? Let me know in the comments below, over on my Instagram HERE, or on my TikTok HERE.
I got both Dragonfruit and The Familiar this month! Since I’m a fairly new subscriber loaded my box with some past picks that caught my eye as well like Butcher and Blackbird, Clytemenestra, and Annie Bot. Loving BOTM!!
I hope you enjoy them! I can’t wait to get my box in!
