The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie

This is a beautifully tender story about Lolly, a woman navigating grief, self-discovery, and unexpected love, all wrapped up in gentle magical realism. The magic elements provide glimpses into her past and add layers of emotion as she faces hard choices and seeks a new path forward.

I read this a few years ago and still think about how sweet, emotional, and quietly magical it was. I absolutely loved the magical realism. It was woven in so gently and purposefully. Those little time slips into Lolly’s past gave the story such depth and hit me right in the feelings. Each one cracked me open a little more.

The book dives deep into grief, lost dreams, second chances, and the power of choosing love not just romantic, but the life you want, the people you miss, and the parts of yourself you’ve let go of. Lolly is the kind of heroine you root for completely, and I was genuinely invested in both her personal journey and her romantic one (which yes pays off in a lovely, satisfying way!).

My biggest compliant is I didn’t have any pie to eat while reading! If you’re into emotional journeys with a touch of magic, delicious desserts, and a warm, hopeful ending add this one to your list.
