Aardvark July 2026

The July Aardvark picks just dropped and I have thoughts. Every month I try to predict what’s coming and every month Aardvark finds a way to both validate me and humble me at the same time. This month’s lineup has some interesting choices and a good mix of genres. Let’s break down what’s in the box.

If you are still looking for something to read be sure to check out some of my Most Anticipated New Releases lists. If you’re looking for add-ons to put into your boxes, be sure to check out other reviews from previous Aardvark picks.

July Picks

My Box

I grabbed Dead But Dreaming of Electric Sheep as my pick this month. I’ve read Paul Tremblay before and his books are always weird in the best way. He writes the kind of horror that gets under your skin and sticks with me long after I finish. If you like your fiction a little unsettling and off-kilter he’s worth checking out. I also picked up Die for Me by Shirlene Obuobi which honestly wasn’t on my radar at all going into this month but the premise grabbed me and I’m here for it. Sometimes the ones you don’t see coming end up being the best surprises.

If I didn’t already have a copy, Fabulous Bodies by Chuck Tingle would have been my pick without question. Tingle is doing something so different and I’m really curious to see what this one delivers. Every Version of You by Natalie Messier is already on my shelf so I’m set there. Long Island Girls by Gabrielle Korn is an interesting one for me. I’ve read a few of her books and I always love the concept but they don’t always fully deliver for me. I’m curious to see how this one lands. The Housewife by Natalie Barelli rounds out the box and it’s actually available on Kindle Unlimited if you want to read it without using your pick, which is worth knowing before you make your selection.

Overall a solid month from Aardvark. I’m most excited about my Tremblay pick and curious to see what Die for Me brings. Let me know what you grabbed from the box. I always love comparing picks!
