June is here and honestly; my TBR is out of control in the best way. This month has such a good mix of everything: thrillers, romance, literary fiction, fantasy, and a few that I genuinely cannot categorize but need immediately. Summer reading season is officially in full swing, and I have twelve books on my radar that I am so excited about. Some of these have been on my list for months, some snuck up on me recently, and a few I’m going in almost completely blind because the premise alone sold me. Here are my most anticipated reads for June 2026.
As always, I’ve provided links for each of the books below. If something catches your attention be sure to click the image for more information and the synopsis. These are just some of the upcoming June releases that I’m excited for. If you keep scrolling there are so many other amazing books coming out soon. Be sure to subscribe to get weekly updates from SPEAKING OF…, and make sure to follow us on Instagram @speakingof.books for reviews of all books I’m reading and other recommendation lists!

My top twelve this month really run the gamut and I’m so excited that I have copies of all of them. I’m actually already reading The Children by Melissa Albert and The Break-Up Retreat right now and loving both so far. Beyond those, I cannot wait to get into Witch Season by Julia Bianco (rival witch covens in LA with enemies-to-lovers? Yes please), Marion which reimagines Hitchcock’s Psycho but this time the knife is in her hands, Villa Coco by Andrew Sean Greer set in a crumbling Tuscan villa, and Harvest Season by Brandon Sanderson which is unlike anything he’s done before. Add in The River She Became, It Could Have Been Her, Romantic Hero, The Jellyfish Problem (a giant glowing jellyfish terrorizing a Maine island. I need it), The Unicorn Hunter, and The Last Time We Saw Her and June is absolutely stacked. I’m so ready for these to all hit shelves. Be sure to come back as I’ll be posting reviews for these and so much more in the upcoming weeks.
