April 2025 Book of the Month

April books are here! Personally, I think it’s such a good line up and have been lucky enough to received copies of all but 3 of this month’s picks. Surprisingly, I’ve actually finished 2, am almost finished with 2 more so have linked my reviews to the one’s I’ve finished below! All in all, April is lining up to be a great reading month!

Reminder that if none of these are speaking to you this month be sure to check out some of my Most Anticipated New Releases lists. If you’re looking for add-ons to put into your boxes be sure to check out my BOTM add-on recommendations, which I update every couple of months.

My Picks

I’m very excited for this month’s picks! I picked up The Griffin Sisters Greatest Hits and Enchantra. I’ve only heard stellar reviews for Jennifer Weiner’s newest release so added that to my box. I also added Enchantra which is the second book in the Wicked Games Series! Both Phantasma & Enchantra are available via KindleUnlimted as well but since I have a copy of book 1 from BOTM, I wanted a matching set. I also picked up Six Days in Bombay which is also getting great reviews.

I skipped The Sune Was Electric Light. While it only being available from BOTM would normally make me interested – I cannot mentally take on Highbrow literature at the moment. I need lighter and easier to read books at the moment. I also skipped Water Baby. It wasn’t on my radar, and so it’ll be a library hold for me once I hear more about it.

I already have copies all the other reads, and have even read two already, both of which were excellent.

Highly recommend Every Sweet Thing is Bitter if you are looking for a literary mystery in the vein of What Comes After. With a solid plot, it’s slow burn character driven mystery and I loved it. If you’re looking for an easy romance for summer, then Passion Project is what I recommend. I binged it in an evening and though the spice is low, it’ll leave you with warm fuzzies.

Also HIGHLY Fun for the Whole Family. If you love a good family saga/drama than this should be your pick for the month!
