Holy add-ons!
So many add-ons available this month and though I have copies of most of these books, I’m here for it. Of this month’s picks I’ve read four of them so far and have ARCs of six additional ones, which doesn’t leave me much to choose from for my box. Don’t worry though because two of my Most Anticipated Summer reads ending up being picks and so my box this month was pretty easy to pick!
Once again, we have lots of repeat authors showing up, with four of our main picks being repeat authors and only one pick being a debut from our mains. Not sure how to feel about this, since I truly like all our main repeat authors this month.
If you are still looking for something to read be sure to check out some of my Most Anticipated New Releases lists. If you’re looking for add-ons to put into your boxes, be sure to check out my BOTM add-on recommendations, which I update every couple of months.

My Picks
Of the books I have, I have already read: Middle of the Night, Incidents Around the House, House of Glass, and The Lost Story. If I had to choose one of those to recommend, House of Glass was my only five stars read of the bunch and would be my recommendation, especially for thriller lovers! I try to resist reading Sager’s books because they’ve been very cringe lately, but FOMO got me, so I listened to the audio of Middle the Night and actually enjoyed it! Not a five star but I didn’t hate it. Incidents Around the House is a surprising BOTM pick for me, just because it truly is a Horror book. It doesn’t use quotations and is told from the POV of an 8-year-old child. It’s creepy and I liked it. Lastly, The Lost Story, just didn’t deliver for me. But I adored her debut so maybe my expectations were just too high. Regardless, here are my reviews!

The God of the Woods and All the Colors of the Dark were so high up on my Most Anticipated List. I didn’t even hesitate to add both to my box this month. I want to read them ASAP and if you have read Long Bright River and We Begin at the End you should do that while you wait for you books.
Long Bright River Review | We Begin at the End
Of the books I didn’t pick I have copies of all except Family Happiness and A Thousand Times Before. Neither of these were on my TBR and I haven’t heard much about them yet. If you decide to get them or have read them, let me know what you think! Otherwise, come back soon for reviews of some of these other books as I make my way through them.
WHAT IS BOOK OF THE MONTH?
For those who haven’t heard of Book of the Month club or BOTM, it is a subscription program, similar to audible or other box subscription services, where you get (you guessed it) a new book every month. Each month members are given 5 different books to choose from. BOTM generally focusing on debut and emerging writers and is known for having helped launch the careers of some of the most acclaimed authors in American literary history. In an attempt to read more books outside my favorite genres without having to siphon through all the duds, I decided to sign up for the monthly subscriptions. It costs me $14.99 per month, I choose 1 of the 5 books on the first of every month, and it’s delivered straight to my door. You can skip any month or roll your credits over to the next month, at any time. Since I started getting BOTM in 2018, I’ve really enjoyed some of the new authors I’ve been exposed to. If you’re interested in joining BOTM, I’ve added my referral code to the bottom of this post, which if you use, you’ll be able to get a discount on your first month (book)!
